Mädchenkammer Berlin

On the 11 November 2017, a group of international artists took over Pension Mädchenkammer, a small hotel in the heart of Berlin. Occupying all ten rooms, the artists filled the hotel with art; sound, performances, installations, paintings and drawings; all artists used their own rooms the way they wanted. It all happend at this one day from 3 p.m until 10 p.m.

My room had the ceiling only 168 cm high, making it perfect as a studio installation with Carl Spitzwegs painting Der arme Poet (the poor poet) in mind. I worked in this room continuouesly the seven hours trough with paintings on plywood, 20x25 cm, having all kinds of interesting talks about art, life, music, food, etc. with a lot of visitors. At the same time I played records of music wich I normally play in my everyday studio.
